The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), the world's largest professional body for marketing and sales, was established in 1911 and was granted Chartered Marketer status for qualified members in 1998. CIM's mission is to deliver world-class professional support to marketing professionals. Principal activities include the provision of marketing information, marketing and sales training and the accreditation of colleges and the awarding of postgraduate professional qualifications.
